Pick The Hit Entertainment is Australia's favourite Music Bingo, Trivia and Karaoke provider. Our focus is simple: we entertain. Our shows give groups of friends a reason to come back week after week, and we work with some of the best venues in South East Queensland to make it happen.
We run shows at pubs and clubs across South East Queensland. The network keeps growing. Every show we add is another regular booking for the right host.
ARE YOU PICK THE HIT HOST MATERIAL?
We expect our hosts to do more than go through the motions. We encourage every host to put their own stamp on their shows. Our ideal host is self-assured but not arrogant. They have a great sense of humour, they're relatable and friendly, but remain professional and focused. Everything runs smoothly and on schedule.
We're not looking for someone to read from a script. We're looking for someone who reads a room. Who knows when to push the energy up, when to let a moment breathe, and how to make everyone in the room feel like a team by the end of the night.
Whether you're hosting Music Bingo, Trivia or Karaoke, your job is to keep the energy high, hold the crowd, and make it a great night every time. Specific experience with our show formats is helpful but not essential. Live entertainment experience in any form counts. Corporate events, pub nights, MCing, performing, public speaking. All of it.
THREE THINGS ABOVE EVERYTHING ELSE
Every crowd is different. The skill is adjusting in real time: knowing when the energy is dropping, when to lean into a moment, and when to let the game do the work.
The energy in the first round needs to still be there in the last round. Harder than it sounds. It's what separates good hosts from great ones.
Weekly shows mean weekly commitments. Venues and their regulars depend on the night happening as scheduled. We need people who turn up, every time, prepared.
WHAT ELSE DO I NEED TO KNOW?
Shows run for around two hours. Hosts arrive 30 minutes beforehand to set up. Around 2.5 hours total per show.
Karaoke shows run for three to four hours. Rates reflect show length.
Pick The Hit provides all equipment, music content, game software, and ongoing support. You focus on the room. We handle the rest.
Before you go live at any venue, you complete our training process and attend existing shows to observe. We set you up to succeed, not throw you in unprepared.
